Your consultation will be performed by our specialized hair loss physician. He will take a complete medical history including details of your progression of hair loss.
You will be assessed by our physician which steps of the program are essential for you. We do not usually endorse one single treatment as we feel a multi - step program is most effective to maximize hair density and growth.

Examination under a 'folliculo-scope' to analyze the condition of your scalp and hair. This can assist in the diagnosis of any underlying skin condition or medical condition that may be contributing to your hair loss. The physician will also analyze the condition of the hair shaft to assess for damage or deficiencies of the hair. A densometer will also be used to calculate the density of the hair loss area, compared to other areas of the scalp such as the donor area of the back of the head. This can also assist in your diagnosis and prediction of further hair loss.

 

 

 

 

If necessary, the physician will order lab tests to assess if you have any underlying medical condition that may be contributing to the hair loss.
Laboratory hair analysis may also be necessary to diagnosis any deficiencies in your diet or life style that may be affecting the quality of your hair.

Our physician will give you detailed information on the diagnosis, possible causes and treatments for your hair loss.
He will outline for you the current and most effective medical treatments, clinically proven non surgical treatments such as low level laser hair therapy, etc. Depending on the course of treatment all options will be explained to you that will assist in the re-growth of your hair and improvement and maintenance of the hair you have.

 

Depending on your extent of hair loss, if medical or non surgical treatments are not an option for you …you will be referred to our hair transplantation surgeon who will discuss the process of hair transplantation. This can be done in the same visit.
As well, other options such as natural hair growth treatment or hair systems or 'pieces' may also be an excellent choice for you.
